Welcome to my site!

I'm a self-taught artist. I really enjoy painting nature and wildlife. There is such an abundance of wildlife and beautiful landscapes in my home state of Arkansas, that inspiration is everywhere.

I work in oils, usually on masonite panels. I've been drawing and painting since childhood. The earliest memory I have of drawing was horses, I would draw on anything that didn't move.I just recently took the plunge into a full-time fine art career, and at the tender age of 54, I have a lot of catching up to do!

I live in rural Yell county, Arkansas with my husband Sam, son Matthew and cat Claws.I've worked as a draftsman for an oil company, worked for the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, owned and operated a poultry farm and most recently worked at a center for disabled adults, one of which is my son Matthew, who has Down's Syndrome. Art was always on the back burner until now.
